Overnight Weekend Trip with SSS Heritage Section to Thai Danish Dairy Farm in Muak Lek : Saturday/Sunday 23. & 24. November 2013.
Join this SSS family and friends weekend tour by bus to Muak Lek, Saraburi Province, where we will visit The Thai-Danish Dairy Farm in Muak Lek, beautifully situated in the foothills of Khao Yai National Park.
12.00 AM – In Muak Lek village we will have lunch at an affiliated restaurant near The Thai-Danish Dairy Center. The place is down to earth, lot of space also for the kids, but the food is magnificent, based on the best raw materials from the area.
At the exhibition area there is a playground, where the children for example can learn how to milk a cow by hand! Grown ups are most welcome to try too.
17.00 PM – onwards. – A short drive to ECO-Lodge (look homepage). Dinner, grill, swim and eventually sleep. (The kids can bring tents if they so wish). Dinner will be as you order yourself.
We will arrange a little night tour in the jungle around the resort. This is for children of all ages; we will ask the local tigers to stay indoors that night. We need some co-organizers. Creative people please come forward!
Sunday:
7.30 – 10.30 AM – Breakfast together at the resort. Then time to relax, take a dip in the pool or rent a bike for a trip in the cool foothills of Khao Yai National Park.
11.00 AM – On our way home we will briefly visit The Railway Station of Muak Lek – where we find the memorial for Assistant land Surveyor Knud Lyhne Rahbek, who died here, 18 years old in 1897.
We leave before noon in order to avoid the big rush back to Bangkok.
14.00 PM – Back on Sukhumvit
